Robert “Bob” E. Mahon

COSHOCTON – Robert “Bob” E. Mahon, 86, of Coshocton passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 at Harmar Place Rehabilitation and Extended Care. He was born in McConnelsville, Ohio on November 21, 1932 to the late Stanley and Ellen (Books) Mahon.

Bob served in the United States Army and then went to work for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union before retiring. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Coshocton Elks Lodge, and VFW. He also loved woodworking and traveling.

He is survived by his two children Randall (Karen) Mahon of Coshocton and Rene (Marc Banks) Curtis of Tennessee; grandchildren Sarah (Jon) Votaw of Canton, Katelyn (Rand) Tesauro Jr. of Akron, and Madeline Jo Mahon of Coshocton; step grandchildren Jason (Faith) Murphy, Amanda (Jerry) Angelo Jr., and Seth Roof all of Coshocton; siblings Judy (Bernard) Hamilton and Dee (Valerie) Mahon both of Dresden; and several step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of almost 50 years, Ruth (Scott) Mahon, whom passed away in 2003; siblings John Mahon, Eleanor Bice, and Edith Andrews.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 11:00am – 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Keith Peachey officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery where the Coshocton County Veterans Council will be performing military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards the Disabled American Veterans; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.  An online memorial is located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com
