Ruth Ann Alloway

Ruth Ann Alloway, 87, of West Lafayette passed away at her home on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020.

Ann was born in Muskingum County on Jan. 3, 1933 to the late Willis K. and O. Ruth (Burton) Bagent.

She graduated from Adamsville High School in the class of 1950 and worked at Adamsville Schools as a cook, a custodian and secretary. Ann also worked at Ridgewood Schools as a teacher’s aide.

She played the organ at the Adamsville United Methodist Church in her earlier years, was a member of the West Lafayette United Methodist Church, was very active in volunteering with the activities department at Lafayette Pointe Nursing Home in West Lafayette and was a Past President of the Women’s Society of Christian Service.

Ann is survived by her four children Jo Ann (Paul) Cline of Mt. Vernon, Greg (Joyce) Alloway of Fresno, Tim (Terri) Adams of Coshocton and Bill (Sher) Alloway of Fresno; one sister Martha Bagent of Fresno, CA; nine grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Charles “Bill” Alloway and brother Richard Bagent.

Private family graveside funeral services will be held in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette with Pastor Matt Anderson officiating.
