Suspect in August robbery arrested

COSHOCTON – On Aug. 11 at approximately 9:48 a.m., dispatch received a call from an alarm company advising of a hold up alarm at the Otsego Carryout. At the same time, dispatch received a 911 call from the clerk at the Otsego Carryout reporting that she had just been robbed and that the suspect fired a shot into the store.

Once deputies arrived on scene, it was determined there was a shot fired from outside of the store into the front glass of the store. Deputies spoke with the clerk and were given a description of the suspect as being a male, small in stature, wearing an orange sweat shirt and a mask. Deputies began searching the area, but were unable to locate the suspect; however, they were able to locate key evidence.
Detectives and a K9 officer were called in to assist in processing the scene and surrounding area.

On Nov. 2, after receiving vital information from the BCI crime lab, an adult male suspect was taken into custody. The name of the suspect will be released upon the filing of formal charges.

Assisting the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office with this investigation is the Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office and BCI Crime Lab.

This incident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
