Suspect wanted in connection to shooting incident

On June 14, 2020 at approximately 11:59 p.m., the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a shooting incident. Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that a vehicle was shot and struck in the area of North 17th Street in the City of Coshocton. The driver, a local female, was not injured in the shooting and the suspect vehicle fled the scene. While searching the area, officers located several items of evidence, including shell casings and damage to another, unrelated parked vehicle that was also struck during the incident.

On June 17, 2020 detectives executed a search warrant on a residence in the 1100 block of Herbig Avenue. Several items of evidence were secured in the search, including a handgun.  An arrest warrant for felonious assault, a second degree felony, was issued for Dallas S. Wood, 23-years-old and from the Coshocton area.

Wood remains wanted at the time of this release and should be considered armed and dangerous. If anyone has any information as to his whereabouts, they are urged to call 911. Do not attempt to approach or make contact with this dangerous wanted person.

Assisting the sheriff’s office with this investigation is the Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office.

This incident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
