Two treated after accident on SR 621

On Oct. 23, at 1:06 p.m., the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a single vehicle accident with injures on SR 621 near CR 406.

Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that a vehicle being operated by 31-year-old Douglas Hummell of Coshocton and his wife, 29-year-old Lyndsey Hummell, was traveling South on SR 621 when they went off the right side of the road, striking a culvert and causing the vehicle to overturn before coming to rest on its top. Lyndsey was already outside of the vehicle but Douglas had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Three Rivers Fire Department.

After initial treatment by Coshocton County EMS, Lyndsey was flown from the scene by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center in Columbus and Douglas was taken to Coshocton Regional Medical Center by Coshocton County EMS. Assisting deputies at the scene was Prince’s Wrecker Service, Coshocton County REACT, MedFlight, Coshocton County EMS and the Three Rivers Fire Department. This accident remains under investigation by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
