Vietnam Veterans donate to K-9 unit

| May 15, 2017

DSC_0043COSHOCTON – The Coshocton County Vietnam Veterans group made a $500 donation to the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office K-9 program at their May 13 meeting. The Vietnam Veterans enjoyed breakfast at their new meeting location, the American Legion Post 65, and then watched a demonstration by Detective Dave Stone and his K-9 partner Henata. They also got to meet the office’s new K-9 Chili and his partner Deputy Steven Mox. “We were getting word that they were getting a new dog and as a group we are here to help the community,” said Dale Foster, president of the local Vietnam Veterans group. “The K-9s are very important to our sheriff’s office.”

About the Author ()

I started my journalism career in 2002 with a daily newspaper chain. After various stops with them, I am happy to be back home! I graduated from Coshocton High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002 from Walsh University. I also earned several awards while working for daily papers, including being honored by Coshocton County’s veterans for the stories I wrote about them. I am honored and ready to once again shine a positive light on Coshocton County. I also am the proud mother of a little girl named Sophia!
