Wayne E. Olinger

Wayne E. Olinger, 91, of Coshocton passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville on Saturday December 15, 2012. 

Wayne was born in Fresno to the late John and Augusta (Baad) Olinger on February 12, 1921.  He served in the US Army during WWII receiving many awards, retired from Shaw Barton in Coshocton in 1984 after 37 years of service. Wayne also attended the First Baptist Church of Coshocton and devoted much of his time in various church activites. 

On September 20, 1944 he married Imogene M. Olinger who preceded him in death on April 20, 2011. 

Wayne is survived by his daughter Sharon Shryock of Coshocton; grandchildren Michelle (Chris) Crown of Hurricane, WV; great grandchildren Abby and Ally; several nieces and nephews. 

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Mariam Uher and a brother Kenny Olinger. 

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Tuesday December 18, 2012 from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 AM with Rev. Edd Matako and Pastor Murray McMillan officiating. Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memory Gardens where Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard will perform military honors.
