In July of 2022, Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division began a lengthy investigation involving several thefts, motor vehicle thefts and B&E’s that have been occurring in Coshocton County.

During this four-month investigation, two male suspects were taken into custody during a night time operation/bust. On Dec. 6, 2022, the two male subjects were observed actively breaking into a structure while detectives were conducting surveillance. An attempt to apprehend the two suspects, the two suspects fled on a four-wheeler to a nearby field and ditched the four-wheeler and fled on foot. Road patrol deputies provided containment of the area while Deputies, detectives and K-9 units tracked the suspects in a dense wooded area. As a result of the search, the two suspects were located and taken into custody. The four-wheeler that the suspects had fled on was also confirmed as stolen from this year.
