Accident with injuries reported

COSHOCTON – On Monday, Nov. 11, at approximately 1:47 a.m., the sheriff’s office received a 911 call in reference to an injury accident in the area of US 36 and Township Road 105. Upon arrival of the crash scene, it was found that a Volkswagen Beetle driven by Edie M. Uyesugi, 31, of Coshocton, was traveling eastbound on US 36 near Township Road 105, when Uyesugi lost control of the vehicle. Upon investigation, the vehicle had gone off the right side of the roadway before over correcting, then going into the median of the roadway striking a concrete barrier.  Uyesugi was then flown from the scene by medical helicopter to Akron General Hospital due to her injuries she sustained from the accident. This incident is under investigation by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.

Assisting at the scene were the Coshocton County EMS, West Lafayette Fire Department, Medflight, and Jim’s Towing.
