Andrew “Andy” Joseph Bordenkircher

Andrew “Andy” Joseph Bordenkircher, 62, of Coshocton, passed away suddenly of natural causes on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020 at his home. He was born on May 28, 1958 in Coshocton to the late Richard E. Bordenkircher and Mary Catherine (Allman) Bordenkircher.

“Where Andy was, friends were sure to follow” best describes Andy. Although never one to waste words, he enjoyed a lifetime of meeting and spending time with people. His life was an example of finding joy in simplicity. He had a love for music, woodworking, nature, animals, and family. He operated a renovation and carpentry business in Coshocton most of his life and spent his spare time playing guitar and previously performing in local bands. He was an avid gardener and formerly handcrafted musical string instruments, focusing primarily on dulcimers sold in Historic Roscoe Village.

Andy was a graduate of Coshocton High School and attended Ohio University. He is survived by his siblings Stephen (Gwen) Bordenkircher of West Lafayette, Ohio, David (Debbie) Bordenkircher of Coshocton, Ohio, Theresa Lawrence of Boca Raton, Florida, Gerard (Danyel) Bordenkircher of Fresno, Ohio, and Francis Bordenkircher of Hillard, Ohio. He also will be missed by his surviving 12 nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Andy is preceded in death by his sister Anna Marie.

A memorial service and internment celebrating Andy’s life will be held at South Lawn Cemetery on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020 at 11 a.m. with Deacon Doug Mould officiating.

The Miller Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.
