Anna Bertha (Grewell) Thomason Edmondson

Anna Bertha (Grewell) Thomason Edmondson, 87, of West Lafayette, died Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the Majora Lane Care Center in Millersburg, Ohio.

She was born March 14, 1935, in Tuscarawas County Ohio to the late Elmer Duff and Margaret Anna (Myers) Grewell. She married Clyde Phillip Thomason Sr. on April 16, 1955 who preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 1962.

Anna was a 1953 graduate of West Lafayette High School. She also graduated from the Coshocton School of Nursing/Tri County School of Practical Nursing in 1972 with an LPN degree. She retired from nursing from the West Lafayette Care Center, aka Lafayette Pointe.

She was an accomplished fiber artist whose skills included quilting, tatting, crocheting, knitting, and weaving rugs on a loom. She won several ribbons for her doilies in the Coshocton County Fair.

Anna is survived by two sisters, Violet Myers of Coshocton, and Mary Swank of Newcomerstown, Ohio; a son, Steven Lee and SueAnn (Whitehair) Thomason, a daughter, Grace Anna and Curtis Stogner; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three brothers, a sister, and a son, Clyde Phillip Thomason.

Calling hours were held Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home from noon to 1 p.m. A funeral service followed at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating. Burial took place at South Lawn Cemetery following the funeral service.
