Domer OBIT PIC 002Atlee Wayne Domer, age 84, of West Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

He was born in Coshocton County on September 14, 1928, to the late Melvin and Ester (Weaver) Domer.

On March 31, 1956, Wayne married Nona (Levengood) Domer who survives.

In 1966, Wayne became a member of the Jehovah’s Witness. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling; bluegrass music, playing the guitar and banjo; but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with his wife Nona, Wayne is survived by his children, Gary (Lucille) Domer of New Philadelphia, Cindy Domer of Ash N.C., Jeff (Marlene Corder)  Domer of West Lafayette and Arlene (Charles) Mullet of Fresno; grandchildren, Lesley, Sheena, Lacey, Logan, Brittney, Cody, April, and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Brynn, Katie, Sara, Gracie, and Hailey; brother, Paul Domer of Fresno; sisters, Edna Almack of West Lafayette, Erma Spencer of Marion and Gladys Yoder of Millersburg.

He is preceded in death by his brother Ralph Domer.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Given-Dawson Funeral Home with Steve Foster officiating. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 23, from 5-8 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday. A cremation will take place at a later date.
