Bakersville to have Labor Day tractor pull

BAKERSVILLE – Bakersville will have a Labor Day Tractor Pull on Sunday, Sept. 3 at noon at the Bud Hawk Arena. Rain date is Monday, Sept. 4 at 9 a.m. All proceeds will go to Terry and Pam Mizer’s family for medical expenses.

The weight classes will consist of 5,500#, 7,000#, 8,500#, 10,500#, and 12,500#. There will be two drivers per tractor. The kiddie tractor pull will start at 1 p.m. in the park and the silent auction bids will close at 7 p.m. Ridgewood FFA will serve food all day at the track area.

Progressive valley Grange will be serving a chicken barbecue and pulled pork dinner by the Real McCoy BBQ from 4 – 7 p.m. at the picnic shelter. The meal will consist of barbecued chicken or pulled pork with Amish noodles, baked beans, applesauce, roll/butter, and choice of dessert and drink. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the pull for $10 each.
