Betty Mae Kyle

COSHOCTON – Betty Mae Kyle, 63, of Coshocton passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family and special friends Dave, Christy, Stacie, and long-time nurse friend Laura. She was born in Athens, Ohio on June 17, 1955 to the late Clyde and Erma Mae (Stover) Metcalf.

She worked for many years at Longaberger and then as a Registered Nurse at Autumn Healthcare and most recently for Interim Hospice of Coshocton. Betty is a member of the Coshocton Christian Tabernacle and was very involved in church activities including the live nativity and secret sisters. She also volunteered at the Hope Clinic. She was very artistic and loved painting and crafting.

Betty is survived by her husband, Robert Kyle, whom she married July 9, 1973; two children James (Rachel) Kyle and Christina Kyle; grandchildren Emma Kyle and Brody Brightwell; great-grandchild Braelen Brightwell; and sister Peggy (George) Batemen.

Along with her birth parents she is preceded in death by her adoptive parents, James and Bernice (Metcalf) Tinkham.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and support during this difficult time.

Calling hours will be held at the Coshocton Christian Tabernacle, 23891 Airport Rd., Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Monday, Jan. 14, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00pm and one hour prior to the funeral service. Funeral services will be held at the church on Tuesday at 11:00am with Pastor Mike Jansen, Pastor Jason Diaz, and Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
