Black Bears compete at Baldwin Wallace University

WARSAW – The River View High School Indoor Track and Field team participated in the 2017 Baldwin Wallace Indoor High School Track Meet on Sunday, Jan. 29. The meet, held in BWU’s Lou Higgins Fieldhouse in Berea, was attended by 14 other Ohio high schools including Cuyahoga Falls, Lakewood, Cleveland John Adams, Berea-Midpark, Indian Valley and Akron Archbishop Hoban Catholic School.

Highlights for the girls’ team include a third place finish in the 55 meter dash by Cassidi Bookless, and a third place finish in the long jump by Marie Stufflebean. Also competing for the girls were Nicole Bryant and Kassidy Lahna.

Highlights for the boys’ team include a second place finish in the 55 meter dash by Grant Gunn, a sixth place finish in the 55 meter dash by Isaiah Cameron, and a third place finish for the four-by-200 meter relay team of Isaiah Cameron, Lane Beatty, John Hardesty and Grant Gunn. Also competing for the boys were Cody Lewis and Evan Beatty.

The RVHS indoor track team previously participated in meets at Marietta College and Ohio Wesleyan University, and will finish the season with a return to Marietta College, and competitions at Akron University and Kent State University.
