Board of Realtors presents awards, inducts 2013 officers

The Coshocton County Board of Realtors presented three awards at its December luncheon meeting, held Friday, Dec. 14 at Roberta’s Catering & Event Center. The Realtor of the Year award went to Jim Nelson, the Affiliate of the Year was presented to Mark Fortune and the Honorary Realtor of the Year award was presented to Herb Peddicord. COSHOCTON – The Coshocton County Board of Realtors presented three awards during its December luncheon meeting at Roberta’s Catering.
Heather LePage presented her father, Herb Peddicord, with the Honorary Realtor of the Year award. Peddicord had his first auction in 1953 and became a licensed Realtor in 1955. He is a third generation auctioneer with the office of Peddicord Rice Auction Realty.
He said of the award, “I thank all of you for your support and consider all of you my good friends.”
Jim Nelson was presented with the Realtor of the Year award. Nelson is a multi-time past president of the local Board of Realtors, earned his license in the mid 1980s and has served the community on multiple boards.
Nelson said with emotion, “I am humbled by this award.”
Mark Fortune of The Coshocton County Beacon was presented with the Affiliate of the Year award and thanked the Board of Realtors for its support.
Tom Dile will serve as President for 2013.
