Bonnie Patterson Bourgeois

Bonnie Patterson Bourgeois, 84, of West Lafayette, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013.  She was born February 5, 1929 to the late Ray and Opal (Wilson) Thornsley.  Bonnie retired from her job as a Nurses Aid for Camp Echoing Hills in 1980.  She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Newcomerstown, enjoyed painting birds and spending time with her family.  On May 23, 1948, she married William E. Patterson who preceded her in death on March 19, 1977.  She later remarried Anthony Bourgeois who preceded her in death in 1996.  Bonnie is survived by two sons, Daniel (Connie) Patterson and Richard (Nina) Patterson; son-in-law, Frank Anderson; grandchildren, Brenda (Kevin) Copeland, Mark Patterson, Brad (Amy) Patterson, Teresa (Dave) Evin, Lisa Patterson, Susan (Brett) Fogle, Kim (Derrick) Wilkin, Carrie (Kevin) Daugherty,  Melissa Patterson, Alicia (Jimmy) Hunt, Riki (Jeff) Johnson, and Joshua (Tabitha) Patterson; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Gary (Judy) Thornsley; sister, Betty Courtright; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and her husbands, Bonnie was preceded in death by one son, William Patterson; one daughter, Ruth Anderson; grandchildren, Chad Patterson and Kathy Patterson; and brother, Junior Thornsley.  Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson Funeral Home from 10:00-11:00 am on Monday April 22, 2013.  A graveside service will follow at 11:30 am at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.  Memorial Contributions may be made in Bonnie’s name to Relay for Life by going to www.relayforlife.org and searching for Coshocton, Ohio under “find an event”, or selecting a charity of your choice.  An online memorial can be viewed online at www.given-dawsonfuneralhome.com.
