Ankrum002COSHOCTON – Bruce Reynold Ankrum, 89, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2017 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

He was born Aug. 15, 1927 in Monroe Co. to the late Ralph and Lela (Workman) Ankrum. He was the former owner & operator of Ankrum Sawmill, and was a self-employed lumberman throughout his career. He was a 65 year Mason, and served quite a few years as a Worthy Patron of the Ohio Eastern Star. He was a member of the Ohio Lumberman’s Association. He loved his work, especially woodworking and arts & crafts.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 35 years, Irma (Foraker) Ankrum, whom he married Oct. 17, 1982; a son, Mike (Martha) Ankrum of Wilmington, NC; a daughter, Cathy (Richard) Miller of Columbus; a stepson, Rick (Patty) Tilton of San Diego, CA, a step-daughter, Flora (Lester) Marlatt of Fredericktown; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who loved their grandfather dearly; a brother, Donnie (Marjorie) Ankrum of Kimbolton; and a sister, Dorothy Klass of Dayton, OR.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Susan Marlatt.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 at Coshocton Co. Memory Gardens with Pastor Ron Davis officiating. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
