Carrie F. Layton
WEST LAFAYETTE – Carrie F. Layton, 81, a resident of Lafayette Pointe and formerly of South Lawn Ave. in Coshocton, died Tuesday Nov. 5, 2013 at the care center.
She was born April 26, 1932 in Conesville to the late Clarence H. and Myrtle E. (Webb) Parks. She married Donald L. Layton on July 17, 1955, who preceded her in death on July 27, 2013. She was a retired Nurse’s Assistant and worked at the Emergency Room at Coshocton Co. Memorial Hospital for 44 years. She was a member of the Coshocton Church of Christ, the Business & Professional Women organization, a volunteer for the Salvation Army and the Coshocton Co. Board of Elections. She was an avid bowler, and a huge Cleveland Indians fan.
She is survived by a son, Michael (Janie) Layton of West Lafayette, a daughter, Debbie Chambers of Coshocton, three grandchildren; Jennifer (Steve) Iori of Cincinnati, Tiffany Layton of Zanesville, and Courtney Layton of West Lafayette, and two great-grandchildren; Owen Siegel and Emma Iori.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday Nov. 8, 2013 at the Coshocton Church of Christ, 1800 Chestnut St., with Pastor Lloyd Tenney officiating. Burial will follow at Franklin Cemetery. Calling hours are from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7th at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, and also one hour prior to service time at the church on Wednesday. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
