| April 26, 2019

COSHOCTON – The gym at Hopewell School was full on Thursday, April 25 as friends and family gathered to cheer for their favorite performers in the annual Coshocton County Board of DD’s Talent Show.

Nine participants shared their talents, including singing, rapping and dancing. Shawn Hart was the emcee and Bob Casey provided the sound equipment, lights and DJ services. Three judges decided the winners of the show and refreshments were provided to everyone.

A few of the performers were a little nervous, but most were very excited and couldn’t wait to share their songs. Jalen Berry said, “I got this” when asked if he was nervous. Faith Williams couldn’t wait to say she loved people when she was on stage. Kaylea Jones performed a dance to “I Can Only Imagine” and Selena Fielden sang, “Hands.”

Faith Williams sang, “Can you Feel the Love Tonight?” and won the America’s Got Talent Award. The most original award went to Tani Huebner for her original rap about herself, “Little T.” “Heart Vacancy” was performed by Scotty Balentine who won “The Voice” award. Two People’s Choice awards were won by brothers Dakota and Coalton Mobley. Dakota sang “Holy” and Coalton sang “Baby Turn the Lights Down.” Jalen Berry won the American Idol award for his performance of “Soldiers.” The Shon Connors Award was won by Casey Jones who sang, “You’ve Got to Stand for Something.”
