Charlene Lousie (Jolley) Knox

Charlene Lousie (Jolley) Knox, 77, died Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

She was born Dec. 28, 1944 in Cameron, IL to the late Hardin and Elizabeth Lousie (Mixer) Jolley. She earned an Associate’s Degree in both Computer Science and Accounting. She married Walter Lewis Knox on Oct. 13, 1963, who preceded her in death on April 24, 2017. Charlene was a military wife and enjoyed square dancing with her husband, having once performed in seven European countries in a 24-hour tour. She was an avid reader, enjoyed audio books in later years, and loved knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She was also skilled at getting any cranky child to settle down and take a nap.

Charlene was a past member of both the Blue Star Mothers and the Bethlehem Grange.

She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Orillion (Keith Flexter) of Warsaw, and Elizabeth (Neil McGinley) Knox of Hellertown, PA; a son, W. Lewis Knox, Jr. of San Tan Valley, AZ; grandchildren, Tanner (Ashleigh) Orillion, Sean Orillion (Meg Jennings), Andrew Orillion (Natalie Kelly), Isaac Knox, Kimberly Stevens, Michael Stevens, and Christina Seckman; seven great-grandchildren plus one expected; a brother, Dwight Jolley of Denham Springs, LA; and a nephew, Allen Langdon.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Klock.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2022 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
