Charles E. Duhamell

Charles E. Duhamell, 78, of Coshocton, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022, at his home.

He was born on Dec. 31, 1943 in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Ernie and Nettie (Shaw) Duhamell. He was a graduate of Coshocton High School. On April 4, 1964, he married Beatrice “Elaine” (Denney) Duhamell, who survives. He worked as a coal miner with Peabody Coal Company of Coshocton. He loved to collect sports cards and owned and operated Charlie’s Card Shop in Coshocton. He enjoyed sponsoring softball teams and coaching his children. He has always had a deep love for fishing, asking to go fishing until his very last days. Charles was a born again Christian, and it was very important that his family was saved. He would also drive a church bus and often sang at church. As his children grew older, he loved spending time with and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be missed.

Along with his wife, Elaine Duhamell, Charles is survived by his children, Kim Minton, Brett (Angela) Duhamell and Bill (Renee) Duhamell, all of Coshocton; grandchildren, Josh, Kelsi and Cassidy Duhamell, Justin (Kelsey) Duhamell and Dejay (Clay) Wilson; great-grandchildren, Cash, Adley, and Colt Duhamell and Lexi Wilson; as well as his niece, Julie Sells.

Charles is preceded in death by his sister, Carol Deffenbaugh and nephew, Larry Deffenbaugh.

Per his wishes a cremation took place and a memorial service will be at The Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 21 at 5 p.m. with Ric Bonice officiating.
