CHS volleyball falls to RVHS
Tuesday evening, Sept. 19, in the Wigwam, the Coshocton Redskins volleyball team faced off against county-rival River View in an epic battle across the net. In a match that went the full five sets, it was Coshocton falling to River View by the scores of 25-23, 16-25, 25-27, 25-15, and 7-15.
Leading the Redskins’ offensive attack was Kenidi Jackson who pounded a career-high 20 kills, while Lacey Guthrie chipped in with eight. Defensively Jaeli Tiedt and Saige Abbott collected 24 and 15 digs respectively. Guthrie led the serving with five aces, and Abbott was the blocks leader with four.
Coshocton swept the two preliminary contests, winning the JV match 25-15, 22-25, 25-16 and winning the sub-varsity match 14-25, 25-16, 25-16. For the JV ‘Skins, Chloe Talbott had nine kills while Mallorie Stamper added six. Phoenix Celeschi served up four aces.
