Henry002COSHOCTON – Clara C. “Kate” (Guthrie) Henry, 87, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014.

She was born May 12, 1926 in Coshocton to the late Russell and Madonna (Preston) Guthrie.  She married James R. Henry on April 23, 1945, who preceded her in death on March 11, 2011.  She retired from Novelty Advertising in Coshocton.  She enjoyed being with family, cooking, baking, and playing “Bingo!”  She attended the Coshocton Christian Tabernacle.

She is survived by a son, James E. (Linda) Henry, two daughters; Pat McCoy, and Cheryl (Lonnie) Gano, all of Coshocton, nine grandchildren; Jeanie (Jeff) Dovenbarger, James Henry, Jr., Keith Henry, Rick (Brenda) McCoy, Gary (Diane) McCoy, Bryan McCoy, and Bill Hess, all of Coshocton, James Hess of Canton, and Kimberly Sue (Grahm) Jones of Columbus, two step-grandchildren; Mike Gano of Midvale, and Tom (Meg) Gano of Conesville, several great and great-great-grandchildren, two sisters; Helen Darr and Nora Richesson, and a brother, James (Virginia) Guthrie, all of Coshocton.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Emma Shaneyfelt, two brothers; Russell Guthrie, Jr., and Billy Guthrie, one grandchild, two great-great-grandchildren, one son-in-law, Lewis McCoy, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Sonny Easterday officiating.  Burial will follow in Canal Lewisville Cemetery.  Calling hours are from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
