Clary Gardens celebrates Earth Day

| April 22, 2013

Clary Gardens celebrated Earth Day on Sunday, April 21 with a quarter-mile hike and a craft for kids of all ages. During the hike, the person who picked up the most trash received a prize. There were also nature-related prizes for the kids throughout the hike. The craft the kids made were binoculars they used on their hike made out of recycled toilet paper rolls, ribbon, and stickers.” We repurpose everything we can here and that’s what Earth Day is all about,” said Chris Campbell, event coordinator at Clary Gardens. The next event at Clary Gardens is a spring wildflower walk this Saturday, April 27 at 10 a.m. with Tammi Rogers from the OSU Extension.
