Clyde Junior Young

WARSAW- Clyde Junior Young, 90, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at his residence.

He was born July 30, 1927 in Walhonding to the late Clyde F. and Maizie (Cullison) Young. He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1945, and served in the US Army in Korea from 1951-1956, receiving a Purple Heart in service to his country. He was a life-long farmer, a member of Dutch Run Church, the Walhonding Valley Grange, Coshocton Co. Farm Bureau, and served on the Soil & Water Conservation District board.

He enjoyed square-dancing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Donna Rae (VanWinkle) Young, whom he married Aug. 29, 1954; five children, Van Young (Camila Graham) of Warsaw, Vic (Diana) Young of Warsaw, Neal (Ammie) Young of Saginaw, MI, Nelvin (Carey) Young of Baltimore, and Michelle (Jerry) Thomas of Warsaw; ten grandchildren, Mark (Jessie) Young and Melissa (Andrew) Haney of Florida, Michael (Kendra) Young of Millersburg, Josh (Bethany) Young and Jandi Young (Dusty Foster) of Warsaw, Ben (Kaitlin) Young of Walhonding, Jaden Thomas of Warsaw, Jennica Young of Illinois, Rachel Young of Michigan, and Seth Young of Coshocton; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Albert (Martha) Young of Warsaw; a sister, Ruth Parker of Coshocton; and several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, step-great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Dale Young, and a sister, Lillian Rodgers.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Dutch Run Church, 29350 CR 20 Warsaw, OH 43844, with Jeff Iden officiating, and military honors performed by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard. Visitation is from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
