Community invited to participate in Festival of Trees

| November 4, 2013

COSHOCTON – The Mentoring Center of Coshocton County is happy to announce they are kicking off the holiday season with a Festival of Trees at The Mentoring Center on Nov. 22 – 24.

First, choose a tree theme, complete the enclosed registration form, and return it to the Mentoring Center by Nov. 15. You can also register by calling (740) 623-8110. Next, purchase and decorate an artificial tree or wreath in the theme of your choice for donation to the agency. Trees can range in size from tabletop to 6.5 feet. Set-up times are available on Nov. 18 – 21. The trees will then be available for display to the public, and will become part of a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit the programs offered by The Mentoring Center, including the Bigs/Littles, Little Buddies, Peer Mentors, and Side by Side Family Mentoring. All contributors will be recognized throughout the event.

Your tax-deductible donation can represent your business, family, or community group. You can also donate a tree or wreath in honor or memory of someone special. We look forward to seeing the amazing creativity that our talented community can bring to this event. It is our goal to have 50 decorated trees twinkling in our facility, transforming The Mentoring Center into a spectacular Christmas festival that will include the public viewing of the beautiful trees, cookies and hot chocolate for attendees, a Viewers’ Choice contest, bake sale, Christmas crafts, and holiday music.

We hope you will join us in celebrating the holiday and ensuring another year of providing valuable mentoring services for children in the community.
