Coshocton County 4-H announce summer activities

COSHOCTON – Coshocton County 4-H has a couple options for youth to stay busy and have fun again this summer.

Cloverbud Camp is for youth ages 5 and in kindergarten through 8 and in second grade as of Jan. 1. Cloverbud Camp will be June 2 at Lake Park from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. The theme is “Calling All Insects, Big and Small, Buzz, Hop, Flutter or Crawl!” Participants will learn about bugs while making crafts, playing games and going fishing. Cost is $10 per participant which includes lunch and snack. Registration is due to the OSU Extension office by May 25.

4-H Summer Science Camp theme this year is STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) with Art. Activities will include popsicle catapults, cotton ball painting, robot puppet, magnetic slime, yogurt top paint spinners, and more. Youth ages 5 – 8 participate on Tuesday, June 5 and youth ages 9 – 12 participate on Wednesday, June 6 from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Cost is $20 per participant with lunch provided. Limit to 20 participants per day. Registration is due June 1 to the OSU Extension Office.

4-H Junior Camp is July 5 – 9 at 4-H Camp Ohio. Junior Camp is for youth ages 8 and in the 3rd grade on Jan. 1 through 9th grade. Camp creates an experience of a lifetime for the campers, including new learning experiences, friendships, skills, and fun. Daily schedules for campers include a variety of citizenship and teamwork activities, flags, daily sessions, meals, games, and campfires. Daytime sessions feature a variety of new camp experiences including: Swimming, crafts, nature, shooting sports, canoeing/kayaking, life studies, ziplining/rock wall climbing, fishing, and so much more. Cost for Junior Camp is $180 for 4-H members and $190 for non-members. A $25 sibling discount is also available.
