Dan Winter PictureDaniel G. “Dan” Winter, 61, of Coshocton passed away at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital on Tuesday July 2, 2013.

Dan was born in Massillon, Ohio on February 26, 1952 to Glenn and Barbara Winter.

He graduated from Coshocton High School in 1970, had worked at Glenn’s Auto Body Repair as a body man and also William Albert Excavating.

Dan was a member of V.F.W. 1330, Coshocton Eagles and has been a member of the Coshocton Moose since 1979. He enjoyed fishing and restoring older cars.

He is survived by his mother Barbara Winter of Coshocton; loving friend Sharon Shryock of Coshocton; daughter Tonya (Joe) Kelly of Oxford, PA; son Brent Keefer of Coshocton; sister Connie (David) Lower of Coshocton; granddaughters Ashleigh and Rachel; nieces Kacy and Darcy Lower; great niece Brylee Sharier; several other family members.

Dan is preceded in death by his father Glenn Winter; grandparents John and Daisy Winter and Marion and Louise Singhaus.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Monday July 8, 2013 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM where a Moose service will begin at 8:00 PM.

Funeral services for Dan will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. Interment will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Health Services of Coshocton County “Hospice,” envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
