Dennis A. Thompson, 64, of Coshocton passed away at the Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021.

Dennis was born in Coshocton on June 6, 1957, to the late Francis and Alma (Wilden) Thompson. He graduated from Coshocton High School in the class of 1975. Dennis was a volunteer fireman for the City of Coshocton for 17 years, was Santa Claus for 18 years in Coshocton and enjoyed spending time with his family, road trips and riding motorcycles.

Dennis worked at Buehler’s in Coshocton for 27 years, 10 years at Longaberger, spent two years at Mattingly Foods and eight years at AK Steel in Coshocton. Dennis was proud to have obtained his Real Estate license in 2018 through HER Coshocton and was excited to get started selling real estate.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte L. Thompson whom he married Jan. 24, 1976; children, Jason (Carly) Thompson of Coshocton and Julie (Mike) Klingler of Pataskala; grandchildren, Nick Thompson, Haley Thompson, Jared Mizer, Justin Thompson, Lily Griffith and Kaylynn Klingler; siblings, Barbara Holdsworth of Coshocton, Larry Thompson of Coshocton and Nancy (Keith) Stahl of Fresno; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St. Coshocton on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, from 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday, Oct. 21. Funeral services for Dennis will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Mark and Cyrus Granger officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Cemetery in Warsaw.
