Dennis Ray “Denny” Wyers

Dennis Ray “Denny” Wyers, 68, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020 at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 10, 1952 in Ravenna to Raymond and Joyce (Wearly) Wyers. He loved his children immensely, and was very family oriented. He always enjoyed family meals on Sunday. He enjoyed his time as a truck driver, and was an excellent dart thrower, winning many tournaments. It was a skill he passed to his son. He spent many days in his younger years riding motorcycles and going on Poker Runs for various charities. He also enjoyed Western movies.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce Wyers of Cambridge;  a son, Jaycen Wyers of Summer Shade, KY; a daughter, Shellie (Tom) Savage of Warsaw; a brother, Terry (Candy) Wyers of Ravenna, sister, Cheryl (Chuck) Hale of Cambridge, brother, Mike (Carolyn) Wyers of Byesville, brother, Jeff (Donna) Wyers of Byesville, and a sister, Caryll Hickman of Cambridge; his grandchildren, Christopher Savage, Shalene Savage, Jaycen Savage, Courtney Wyers, Tommi Savage, Treva Wyers, Tesa Guilliams, Austin Berg, and Darren Wolverton; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Wyers; a step-son, Michael “Mikey” McCabe; and brothers, Raymond Wyers, Jr. and Mark Wyers.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Capacity is limited and face coverings are required. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to service time.  www.fischerfunealhome.com
