Doris M. Swoveland

WARSAW- Doris Marie Swoveland, 81, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017 at her residence.

She was born May 31, 1936 in Clark Twp. to the late Ervy E. and Carrie Olice (Fox) Reed. She married Richard W. Swoveland on March 19, 1960, who preceded her in death on April 21, 2007. She was a former employee of J.J. Newberry, Jones Zylon, and Akro. She was a member of Clark Twp. Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking, gardening, and spending time with friends and family. She loved going out to eat, and her beloved cat “Tom Cat”.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Jean Dille and Marty Lynne (Darren) Shroyer, and a son, Jerry Dale Swoveland, all of Warsaw; nine grandchildren, Brandy Swoveland of Warsaw, Heather (Steph) Anderson of Coshocton, Kevin Shroyer of Warsaw, Levi & Caleb Dille of Warsaw, Jeremy (Stephanie) Savage of Colorado Springs, CO, Amanda (Travis) Smith of Etna, Deric Shroyer of Coshocton, and Eric (Candace) Shroyer of McDonald, PA; eight great-grandchildren, Jaycie, Kamryn, and Raegan Savage, Kira & Dexter Hepner, Kaleb & Kyley Thompson, and Kadence Shroyer; a brother, Robert (Mary) Reed; and a brother-in-law, Orin Dean Patterson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Richard Swoveland, a sister, Ruth Patterson, and a half-brother, Ernie Reed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017 at the Clark Twp. Baptist Church, 30618 CR 343 Warsaw, OH 43844, with Pastor Clarence “Sonny” Easterday officiating.  Burial will follow in Blissfield Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements.
