Early morning accident reported on US 36

On March 26, 2021 at 2:50 a.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of a possible accident with injury on US 36 near State Route 93 in Lafayette Township.

Upon arrival on scene, it was found that a 2005 Ford Five Hundred was traveling East on US 36 near the intersection of State Route 93 when the driver lost control of the vehicle.  The vehicle then continued off the left side of the roadway into the median and struck the end of a guardrail. The driver of the vehicle was not located at the time of the crash.

A short time later, contact was made with the driver who was identified as 28-year-old, Brook N. Wilson of Coshocton. Brook was found to be uninjured and was cited for driving without a license and failure to control. The eastbound lane of US 36 was closed at this intersection for approximately one hour due to debris in the roadway.

Assisting the sheriff’s office on scene was the West Lafayette Fire Department, Coshocton County EMS, and Prince’s Wrecker Service.
