Eileen Priode

Eileen Priode, 81, of Coshocton passed away on April 30, 2021 at Riverside Manor in Newcomerstown, Ohio.

Eileen was born in Wakatomika/Coshocton County on April 12, 1940, to the late Delmer & Wavelet (Kaufman) Priode.

She graduated from Union High School in Warsaw, class of 1960. Eileen had worked as a secretary of Union High School from 1960-1965, Good Samaritan Hospital from 1965-1966. In 1966, she began working at the Department of Human Services where she retired in 1994 at a Licensed Social Worker. Eileen also enjoyed wood working, crafts and making her own greeting and holiday cards.

Eileen was a member of the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene where she was very active and volunteered as a Pink Lady at Coshocton County Regional Medical Center.  She also volunteered for 25 years at the Coshocton City Home Health Agency. Her favorite pets over the years were Buzz, Duke, Dutchess, Mindy Lou and Mollie Ann.

She is survived by her nieces Barbara Reed, Donna Priode; great nieces Jennifer Cox, Stephanie Durben, Keturah Durben, Lavonne Durben, Hope Durben and Keysel Priode; great great nieces Rebecca Durben, Shannon Durben, Raven Durben, Elizabeth Jacobs, Keyonnah Daringer, Kaylee and Abby Cox and Danika; nephews Gary Priode and Bill Reed; great nephews Neal Durben, Robert Durben and Greg (Cammi) Priode; great great nephews John T. Durben and Sawyer Patterson; step great great nephews Darion and Marcus Smithley.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Thomas N. (Ruth) Priode and Dwight V. (Wilma) Priode and sister Karen L. Priode; niece Cleta Priode.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, Ohio on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Graveside service will follow at 1:30pm at Dresden Cemetery with Pastor Bill Jones officiating.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene and/or A-1 Vet Care, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
