| September 27, 2019

COSHOCTON – On Wednesday, Oct. 23, the Coshocton County Commissioners office will be having a United Way fundraiser which will feature elected county officials racing around the Court Square on adult three-wheel bikes. In addition to the race which will be held in heats, they will also be hosting a soup cook-off. These events will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for a $5 fee in the gazebo at the court square.

The following elected officials will be competing in the race:

Sheriff Tim Rogers

Jason Given – Prosecutor

Susan Turner – Recorder

Chris Sycks – Auditor

Judge Robert Batchelor

Judge Van Blanchard

Commissioner D. Curtis Lee

Commissioner Dane Shryock

Commissioner Gary Fischer

They will have three heats of races with three people competing at a time. The winners of each heat will then race each other for a final lap with some interesting challenges in their way. The winner will receive a trophy and bragging rights for a year as they hope to make this the Board of Coshocton County Commissioners United Way Fundraiser annual event.

A $5 fee to watch the event will be charged as well as a $5 fee to enter your soup for the cook-off and a $5 fee to try the soups and vote for your favorite. We will also have a 50/50 drawing going on as well during the event.

All money raised will go towards United Way.
