Fall Foliage and Farm Tour to highlight southwest section of county

COSHOCTON – The Coshocton County Ohio State University Extension, Soil & Water Conservation District, and Farm Service Agency will again sponsor a Drive-It-Yourself Fall Foliage and Farm Tour. The tour will be Saturday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 19, Noon until 5 p.m. in Coshocton County. This year’s tour will highlight the Southwest section of Coshocton County. The tour will continue to focus on the history of the area as well as provide the opportunity for participants to have an up-close experience of a variety of agricultural enterprises along the tour route.

The tour will begin with the first stop and map pickup at The Animal Boutique & Villas, located just off U.S. Route 36, three miles east of Coshocton across from the Super Wal-Mart. Tour maps will be available at this first stop on Saturday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and Sunday from Noon until 3 p.m.

The 2014 Fall Foliage and Farm Tour will again have some outstanding stops for all participants, as well as providing an excellent chance to take in the beautiful autumn landscape of Coshocton County. Some features of the 2014 Coshocton County Fall Foliage and Farm Tour are a sheep farm, an aquaculture operation producing freshwater fish and prawn, Shawnee Springs Winery, a beef farm, a model railroad with five miles of track, Wills Creek Dam and more. The lunch stop will be located at the Conesville Volunteer Fire Department.

Tour brochures will not be available until Saturday morning at The Animal Boutique & Villas located at 23905 Airport Road, and we do ask that if you are planning on going on the tour, that you stop there to pick up your brochure and map and to register.
