Fatal accident occurs on CR 16

On June 30,2021, the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in regards to an accident with injury. This accident occurred in the 50000 block of County Road 16 in Lafayette Township.

Upon arrival of deputies, an investigation into this accident occurred and it was learned a box truck being operated by 48-year-old Paul A. Bridenthal of Big Prairie, Ohio went left of center and struck a Jeep Renegade being driven by 34-year-old Neana M. Lemon of West Lafayette, Ohio. Lemon was pronounced deceased on scene by the Coshocton County Coroner and had to be removed from the vehicle by mechanical means. Paul A. Bridenthal was checked by medics and appeared to have no injuries. This accident remains under investigation by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.

Assisting the sheriff’s office on scene were West Lafayette Police Dept., Coshocton County EMS, West Lafayette Fire Dept., Coshocton Fire Dept., Coshocton County Coroner, Coshocton County React and Princes Wrecker Service.
