Florence Elizabeth “Flo” Banks

Banks FlorenceFlorence Elizabeth “Flo” Banks, 84, of Coshocton joined her beloved husband Junior at 12:52 P.M., Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Lafayette Pointe Nursing and RehabilitationCenter in West Lafayette.

Born December 1, 1928 in Newcomerstown, she was the daughter of the late Clarence O. and Mildred F. (Stewart) DeWitt.

She had been employed at the former J.J. Newberry Company and will be remembered for her embroidering, crocheting and needlework.

On April 8, 1959 she married John Junior Banks who preceded her in death June 3, 2010.

Surviving are a daughter Kathy Countryman of Wooster; three grandchildren TJ Bachman of Cullman, Alabama, Suzanne (Michael) Barger of Hawaii, Ashley Murray of Wooster; two great-grandsons Kaiden Barger, Clayton Bachman; several nieces, nephews including a special nephew Milton (Katy) Hootman of West Lafayette.

In addition to her husband and parents, Florence was preceded in death by a sister Geraldine Flowers and two brothers Willis “Bud” DeWitt and Orville DeWitt.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 7, 2013, at the Free Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Young of Young At Heart Ministries officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.

Calling hours will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 7, 2013, prior to the services at the Free Funeral Home.

Memoriums may be made to the Activities Fund at Lafayette Pointe, 620 East Main Street, West Lafayette, Ohio  43845.
