Francis Wade Schuler

Francis Wade Schuler, of Coshocton passed away at his home on Friday, November 16, 2018.  He was born in Keene on June 12 to the late John and Alma (Still) Schuler.

Wade graduated from Keene High School and went on to serve in the United States Army for two years.  After the Army he received his bachelor’s degree in education from Kent State University and a master’s degree in educational administration from Xavier University.  Wade retired from River View Local School District after working there for more than 40 years as a teacher, principal, and district special educational coordinator.

After retirement he enjoyed genealogy and learning his family history and traveling.  He was also a member of the Coshocton Elks Lodge and the Coshocton Eagles Lodge.

Wade is survived by his son, Jonathan (Kayla Logsdone) Schuler of New Albany; brother Dean Schuler of Coshocton; special friend Rebecca Norris of Coshocton; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings Bernice (Kenneth) Garver, Harold (Violet) Schuler, Eileen (Francis) Welling, and Mary Bintz; and sister-in-law Marjorie Schuler.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton Ohio on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm and one hour prior to the funeral services.  Funeral services for Wade will be Wednesday at 12:00pm with Pastor Mark Granger officiating.  Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery, where the Coshocton County Veterans Council will be performing military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards New Life Ministries or the Disabled Veterans National Foundation; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
