Fun ways to hop into the Easter spirit

Here are some family friendly ways to get hopping on the Easter season!

  • Bunny Hop 5K and Kids Fun Run: Saturday, April 8, River View Community Park. Same-day registration is from 8 to 8:45 a.m. The 5k will be $20 for kids and $30 for adults. For more information, visit dkraces.com or look up DK Races & Events on Facebook.
  • West Lafayette Police Department Easter Egg Hunt: 11 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Aug. 8, Burt Park. Ages 2-5 start at 11 a.m. and ages 6-10 begin at 11:30 a.m. Bring your own basket. Light refreshments will be served. Info: Chief Klopfenstein at 740-545-6324 or e-mail [email protected].
  • Coshocton Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Craft Show: 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 8. The egg hunt begins at 2 p.m. and there will be a coloring contest with the chance to win one of four bikes. You also can have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny.
  • Local Bounty Easter Egg Cookie Decorating with Katie Bakes: 1 to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 8, Local Bounty. Cost is $10 per person and you must register and prepay at Local Bounty 740-622-1400. Learn new decorating techniques on pre-glazed cookies. You will decorate one dozen Easter cookies that you get to take home.
  • Roscoe United Methodist Church Fourth annual Community Easter Egg Hunt: 3 p.m., Sunday, April 9, 475 High St. The event also includes a visit from Miss Tulip.
  • First Baptist Church Easter Egg Hunt: 7 p.m., Friday, April 14, 618 Chestnut St. Included in the evening will be singing, Bible story, games and popcorn. All are invited. Contact the church at 740-622-0300 with any questions.
  • Roscoe Village Easter Scavenger Hunt: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 15, Roscoe Village Visitor Center. Each child will paint their own Easter flower pot and then plant the seeds provided. Sheets will be handed out to guide children through their hunt. The Easter Bunny will be waiting to greet them when they return. Open to children ages 5-12. There are only 50 available spots. Call, 740-622-7644 ext. 12, to reserve and pay for your tickets. Cost is $4.50 per participant or $2.50 for Roscoe Village Foundation members.
    Century 21 Easter Celebration: 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 15, Coshocton Court Square on Main Street. Get photos taken with the Easter Bunny, face painting, games, food, and more. Call or text Stephanie Conrad to RSVP 740-294-0864.
