Gail Richard Currence

Gail Richard Currence, 73, of Coshocton passed away at 1:50 A.M., Friday, January 4, 2013 at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.

Born February 7, 1939 at Elkins, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Jonathon and Ethel (Taylor) Currence.

He had 20 years of service in the U. S. Army and the National Guard of Ohio where he had worked in food service.  He was honorably discharged May 1, 2000.  He later was employed as a Guard at the Clow Corporation.

Gail will be remembered for his love of country music and playing his harmonica.

He will be missed by his special friend for over 25 years Janice Marie Wilcox; a daughter Kimberly (Joseph) Simone of Massillon by his first marriage to Cheryl L. Frazee; two grandchildren Brittany (Mike) Varnes, Dirk Thornton all of Newcomerstown; three great-grandsons Grant, Carter and Greyson; a sister Daisy Mae (William) Mike of Mannington, WVA; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gail was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

To honor Gail’s request, he was cremated.
