Henry L. Christopher

WARSAW- Henry Lee Christopher, 90, died Friday, March 17, 2017 at The Laurels of Mt. Vernon.

He was born March 7, 1927 in Century, WV to the late Charles Robert and Mattie (Strader) Christopher.  He was a 1944 graduate of Buckhanon Upshur High School.  He married Mabel Sue (Fitzgerald) Christopher on April 20, 1946, who preceded him in death on Sept. 26, 2004. He worked as a superintendent in bridge construction until his retirement.

Henry was a member of the Sol D. Bayless Masonic Lodge #359 for over 60 years. He was a classic car enthusiast, and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by a daughter, Tammy K. Armintrout of Warsaw; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother; one sister; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Robert Christopher and Mattie Hymes; a son, Charles Christopher; and a son-in-law, Mark S. Armintrout.

Calling hours are from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with a Masonic Memorial Service to follow at 4:00 p.m.  A graveside service will be held at Waterloo Cemetery in French Creek, WV on Saturday, March 25th at 1:00 p.m., with Pastors Nancy Killingsworth and Bobbie Predmore officiating.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
