Ina Mae ‘Bootsie’ Jones

Ina Mae “Bootsie”  Jones, 79, of Coshocton passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at 7:35 A.M. at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.

Born  September 12, 1934 in Coshocton, Ina Mae was the daughter of the late Lincoln Andrew and Bessie Mae (Darr) Rice.

She attended Coshocton City schools and had been a waitress at several Coshocton restaurants including the former Gay Nineties and Pareson’s.

Bootsie enjoyed reading and being with her family.  She will be remembered for her winning smile and enjoyable personality.

Ina will truly be missed by sons James (Karen) Jones of Dresden, Charles (Lisa) Jones of Battle Creek, Michigan; daughters Cindy (Doug) DeGroot of Berea, Ky, Victoria Jones and Susan(Rob Fortune) Jones all of Coshocton; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two expected great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, best friend Dorothy Medley and caregiver Rachael Selders.

In addition to her parents, Ina Mae was preceded in death by two sisters Evelyn Mathias and Betty Wilson, two grandchildren, special companion Hank Hafner and step-father Charles Blair.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 31, 2014, at the Free Funeral Home with Lloyd Tenney, Minister officiating.  Interment will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens. Calling Hours will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to the service on Friday.

Memoriums may be made to the Coshocton County Animal Shelter, 21755 T.R. 164, Coshocton, Ohio 43812. Envelopes are available at the Free Funeral Home.
