Inez R. Easter
Inez R. Easter, 91, of Coshocton, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 11:03 P.M., Friday, July 5, 2013, at Coshocton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Coshocton.
Born December 25, 1921 in Barnum, Minnesota, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elsie (Spangler) Harding.
A graduate of Melcher, Iowa high school, Inez was a drill press operator making B-25 airplanes in San Diego, California during World War II. She was employed for over 20 years in the housekeeping department at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1991.
On January 5, 1946, Inez married Edward J. Easter who preceded her in death November 26, 1973.
Inez was a faithful member of the Park United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was active in the United Methodist Women’s group, and served on many church committees. For many years she was secretary-treasurer of the former DAV Auxiliary.
Inez will be remembered for her love of vegetable gardening and flowers. She enjoyed all sports and the Ohio State Buckeyes were her favorite.
She truly will be missed by her two daughters Marlene Bowman of Columbus and Helen (Anthony) Kelly of Baldwinsville, NY; two grandchildren Larry (Nikki) Bowman of Lancaster and Debra (Shawn Mohat) Kelly of Phoenix, NY; a great-grandson Matthew Bowman; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Inez was preceded in death by a grandson Timothy Michael Kelly, brother Bill Harding and two sisters Goldie Willey and Maxine Thompson.
A remembrance service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Free Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Roseberry officiating. Interment will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
Calling hours will be held Monday, July 8, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. prior to the remembrance service at Free Funeral Home.
