James Jr. Fry
WARSAW- James Jr. “Sonny” Fry, 83, of TR 1159, died Wednesday Jan. 22, 2014 at the Coshocton Co. Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 19, 1930 on “Dutch Run” near Walhonding to the late James Rollo and Arah Leora (Walters) Fry. He served in the US Marine Corp. in Camp Lejeune, NC from 1951-1953. He was an employee of Jade Oil and a part-time bus driver. He volunteered for many years with Bladensburg EMS. He was a member of the Bladensburg Church of Christ.
He is survived by five sisters; Beverly (Harvey) Young of Ashland, Donna (Herb) Peddicord of Coshocton, Carolyn (David) Richards of Warsaw, Dixie Slaughter of Coshocton, and Sharon (Randy) Snow of Coshocton, one brother, Larry (Shirley) Fry of Warsaw, three step-sons; Larry (Sue) Hardesty, Jeff (Theresa) Hardesty, and Greg (Pam) Hardesty, all of Martinsburg, eleven step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Carol (Hardesty) Fry, and a brother, Charles John Fry.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday Jan. 28, 2014 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Ben McKinstry officiating. Burial will follow in Darling Run Cemetery.
