Janice Eileen (Cole) Elliott

WARSAW – Janice Eileen (Cole) Elliott, 76, of Warsaw, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones in the comfort of her home.

Janice was born in Orange, OH on August 27, 1942 to the late Joseph and Norma (West) Cole. After high school, Janice spent many years helping out on the family farm before she went to work for Kraft for 17 years. On December 24, 1963, she married Richard “Dick” Elliott, who preceded her in death on February 10, 2018. Janice was not just a homemaker; she went above and beyond when it came to taking care of her family and making her house a home. She not only made clothes for her three children and husband, she quilted and made intricate doilies. She was an arborist and she maintained three large gardens. Janice was well-known for her blueberries and apples. She enjoyed spending her spare time reading books, especially Amish novels. Janice also loved animals, especially her dogs and chickens.

Janice is survived by her children: Norma (Tim) Smith, Chuck (Dana) Elliott, and Joanna (Jeffery) Brill; four grandchildren: Amy Marie (Nick Kucharski) Smith, Luke Andrew (Emily) Smith, James Edward (Hope Johnson) Elliott, and Jennifer Lynn Elliott; two great-grandchildren, Annabelle and Benjamin, one sister, Doris “Wendy” (Richard) Durben, and brother-in-law, Donald Elliott.

Along with her husband and parents, Janice is preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and William, and 6 brothers and sisters-in-law.

Graveside services will be held for Janice on at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Fairfield Cemetery with Pastor Bill Jones officiating.
