Joe F. Ellis

Joe F. Ellis, 69, of Port Washington, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 7, 2012.  Joe was born in Prichard, WV on June 27, 1943 to the late Fred and Oriole Ellis. 

He graduated from Rittman High School in 1961, then enlisted in the US Army where he was honorably discharged after serving in Vietnam. Joe was an engineer and had worked at PCA, PPG, Firestone and retired from American Electric Power, Conesville Plant in 1999.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 5 years Edith; daughter Cathy Jo (Shawn) Sands of Newark; son Brian Scott of West Lafayette; grandchildren Flair and Jade Sands and Savanah Ellis; stepchildren Connie (Larry) Lafferty of Port Washington and Paul Triplett of Newcomerstown; step grandchildren Courtney White and Tyler Triplett; step great grandchildren Gracie, Caidyn and Camdyn White; sisters Hannah (Charles) Massie of Wadsworth, OH and Donna (George) Kelley of Doyelstown, OH; many loving nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his first wife Carol Eshler Ellis of 34 years; brothers Clifford and Frank Ellis; sisters Esther Faye Murray and Nancy Kelley. 

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Monday November 12, 2012 from 6-8 PM. Graveside funeral services and military honors will be held on Tuesday at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
