Kenneth A. Devers

Kenneth A. Devers Sr., 79, of Coshocton, Ohio, formerly of Cumberland, Ohio passed away at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville on Thursday September 10, 2020.

Kenneth was born in Lisbon, Ohio on September 6, 1941 to the late Raymond “Bill” and Beatrice “Bee” (Starkey) Devers.  He retired after 27 years of working at the Children’s Home in Xenia, Ohio.  Kenneth was well known for helping mentor the children in the home.  He also loved to tinker in his garage and was a talented “Jack of all Trades.”

He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Linda S. (Workman) Devers; children Kenneth A. Devers Jr. of Hardin, MT, Harold Devers of Xenia and Robert (Sherry) Devers of Xenia; siblings Virginia McFarlane of New Philadelpia, Ohio, Florence Devers of Alliance, Ohio Mervin (Donna) Devers of Cumberland, Daryl Devers of NC and Elizabeth Phillips of Sebring, Ohio; grandchildren Greg (Heather) Devers, Dustin Devers, Brendan Devers, Sadie Devers, Tonya Devers, Robert (Isareli) Devers and Kenneth Devers; several great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Wayne Devers who passed away in 1999; siblings Erma Miller, Rolland Devers and Martha Luna.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Tuesday September 15, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM where funeral services for Kenneth will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Gregory Thacker officiating.  Interment will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.

Due to Covid-19, we are requiring visitors coming to the funeral home to wear their own face masks and we will be limiting the number of attendees inside the building.
