Kids America replaces turf on soccer fields

| May 14, 2018

COSHOCTON – The soccer fields at Kids America have a new look thanks to newly installed turf. The new turf replaces the original that was installed when the facility was built in 2001. The turf on both the large soccer field and the shorties field were replaced.

According to Bryce Pepper, office manager at Kids America who is also serving as interim director, the project began on April 24 and finished on May 2. AstroTurf completed the work.

Other repair work was completed before the new turf was installed. “The field had to be completely stripped and then re-leveled. New sand and rubber were installed with the turf. New nets will be installed in the near future,” said Pepper.

Kids America received grants and donations to pay for these improvements.  Pepper said, “This exciting enhancement to Kids America was made possible by the generous donations from the Coshocton Foundation, Montgomery Foundation, the Bechtol Fund of Coshocton Foundation, Larry Myers and two anonymous donors.”
