L. Janice Akins

Lillian (Janice) Akins,93, passed peacefully on April 13, 2021.

She will be “Together Again” with her husband (Charles Akins) of 59 years.

Janice was the daughter of Forrest & Lillian (Layland) Taylor.

Janice was the true definition of a Lady. She worked for a short time at Coshocton Nat’l Bank. She then dedicated her life to being a very special wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was an amazing artist, although she was very humble about her incredible talents. Her paintings were locally displayed in art museums and art shows but most lovingly displayed in her family’s homes. Janice was a loving, spiritual soul who will be missed by many.

She was a beautiful sister to Sandra (Dean) Taylor Gamertsfelder, who survives. Her very special brothers, Don, Gene and Tom Taylor preceded her in death. She shared her love & life with nieces and nephews; Kim Spurgeon (deceased), Kirk Spurgeon and Ann Spurgeon Helms, Stevie Taylor (deceased), Greg Taylor, Tim Taylor, Rick Taylor, Tom Taylor, Eve Taylor, Mark Taylor and Beth Taylor, Ben Lawson, Garney Lawson, Laraine Lawson and Lexi Lawson (deceased). Brother-in-law, Bob Akins survives. And her much loved cat, Jase, is still enjoying his 9 lives.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Philip Hunt officiating.  Burial will follow in the Roscoe Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.  Facial coverings and Covid-19 practices will be observed.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
